Monthly Coffee Impact

June was amazing month for Kickstart Coffee and our project in Uganda. We were able to send £6,500 of coffee profits which was able to fund several impactful initiatives.

Here are some of the key highlights from the month:

1. Introducing Watermelon Wednesday

Thanks to the increased food budget, we launched Watermelon Wednesday, providing fresh, nutritious treats to the children. This initiative not only adds variety to their diet but also helps elevate the nutritional standards of the meals they receive. Proper nutrition is crucial for their growth and learning, and we're delighted to bring this refreshing addition to their weekly routine.

2. Student Leadership Elections

In June, the school held its annual elections for the student leadership team. With 13 positions up for grabs, every pupil had the opportunity to vote, fostering a sense of community and responsibility. We're eagerly awaiting the results, which will be announced soon. The elections are a great way for students to practice democracy and have their voices heard in their school environment.

3. Supporting the Community with EcoStoves

We delivered another EcoStove to Mama Rashida, a community member whose home was recently affected by a fire. The EcoStove will significantly reduce her reliance on costly firewood, allowing her to allocate more funds towards feeding her children. This support is part of our broader commitment to improving the lives of families in the community by providing sustainable solutions.

These initiatives highlight the positive impact that Kickstart Coffee is making, thanks to your support. We look forward to sharing more stories of progress and growth in the coming months. Together, we are brewing a brighter future!
