Celebrating Sporting Success

We are excited to introduce Suubi Roast, our new summer coffee blend! With a crisp, bright floral body and notes of sugarcane and red apple, it offers a delightful summer taste experience. Suubi, meaning "hope" in Luganda, perfectly reflects our mission to support the children in Uganda. This limited-edition coffee won't last long, so grab a bag while you can!

Update on our Impact

Thanks to your support, we contribute £6,500 monthly to fund the school and secondary education project in Uganda. Over the past three months, we’ve increased teachers' and staff salaries by 61% and the monthly food budget by 81%. With more children enrolling, the need for nutritious food has grown significantly.

This week, we welcomed nine-year-old Jeremiah to the school. He has never attended school therefore he will need learn to read and write in Kindergarten before advancing to primary school. We are thrilled to have him join us and look forward to his progress.

Sporting Success The annual Entebbe primary school sports event is always a highlight, where local schools compete for the winning trophies. This year, our hockey and football teams reached the finals, showcasing their determination and skill.

Adding an exciting twist, Teacher Joshua introduced handball to the school. Despite no prior experience, he learned the game through YouTube and trained the children. After months of hard work, our handball team won the school's first-ever trophy at the event! This victory is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of both the students and Teacher Joshua, symbolizing the school's spirit and belief that anything is possible with determination and teamwork.

Rowing for Rucksacks Reuben, Hannah’s son, is rowing 20km on August 18th to raise funds for rucksacks for the 400 children at the school. For every 50 meters he rows, a child will receive a rucksack. His goal is to raise £2,500 to ensure each child has their own rucksack. You can support Reuben by donating to the JustGiving page or directly on Kickstart Coffee’s website.

Thank you for your incredible support. The impact we are having in Uganda is all thanks to your choice of coffee.
